    Starbuck

Ive been wondering about your avatar. I remember seeing and really liking that image/drawing/whatever it's called years ago, probably on elfwood or some other art site.

I know you work with art, and was wondering if possibly the image is your own creation? Or is it just something you found on the internet?

Either way, I still think it's quite a coincidence Im seeing this image again after years and years (well..at least 5 or 6), especially since there are so many other pictures flooding the internet.

It came from a random avatar site. I'll post the link if I can find it. I'd love to know the name of the original artist. I love fantasy art, and I think she looks a little bit like me...kinda.

I wish I had the time to draw myself, but nowadays I just tell other people what to draw hehe.

Actually I think I'm going to change my avatar soon. I had a cougar up there one night just for fun. Maybe I could get people to help me pick a new one, like Frasbee did.

Ah...k, cool. I dont know how much of the original image you've seen, as in whether or not you cropped it at all yourself, but the original had so much detail. It was of the faerie-woman and a whole mystical background. If I somehow find it again, I'll let you know.

Since this is a thread dedicated to Starbuck I'd like to say that she's one of the coolest newbies to grace our forum in a long while. In just two months time she feels like a regular.

What an awesome idea! Here's my pick for you

    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

Speaking of avatars, Misha. What is yours? Is that a picture of you that you rasterized?

Nah, it's from a game called Silent Hill. I have a whole bunch of them from same theme like this one. I was going to change them once a month, but in the end couldn't be bothered

WHAT?! I love that game and am waiting for Silent Hill Homecoming coming in 5 days. Yet I didn't recognize your avatar as anything from Silent hill...still don't.

I could never change my avatar. It would be too weird. It'd make me feel like a different person.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.

Why doesn't anyone want an avatar of a flying assmonkey?

What about just a plain old monkey?

Yes, I am a designer, although now my job is more management. I'm an art director who works in the fashion industry. I spend most of my days with other women and gay men. Which is why I sound like a horny cougar when I come onto Love Forum.

I'm also not one of those girls that Grk mentioned in another thread who likes the Gucci and Coach bags. I love fashion, but I'm much more interested in supporting independent young designers who own their own shops and might need my business more.

Oh, and Grk, maybe you should escort me to one of these fashion parties I'm always required to attend. There are loads of gorgeous model and actress types. If you're still after these types, I could set you loose in the room and go have a drink with my gay friends as we take bets on who is going home with you.

    .
I'm very much into fashion. I'm not into the latest trends and name brand stuff(I am very cheap when it comes to clothes but IMO my clothes dont look as cheap as they really are). I have always wanted to be a fashion designer all my life. I'm not into sowing though lol, so I had said I would've hired people to do that part for me, and I'd just draw cuz it's what I love to do. I love fashion. If I watch shows with "models" doing a poor job, I really hate that. I like when the models grace the runway with confidence in what looks like a frikken garbage bag. It's not what you wear it's how you wear it. If I could start my own clothing line in my life, I would feel so accomplished. This has been my dream since I was like 5 and I hope to accomplish it one day.
