21th century is asian century.. do you think so?

No offense to my US friends... USA got screw up really badly now. Banks collapsed and auto industries failed to get a bailout.. i have read somewhere on the net that 21th century will be a century for Asia! You know china & india, these two countries ..

It's like fall of a giant and raise of another new giant..

i fear the US currency may not be so valuable in the long run..

I think so, LA. But I also wonder what form this 'asian century' will take.

Historically, asian culture tends to be insular. And very racist. Hate to say it, but its the truth. That thing against gaijin/infidels except what one can gain from them.

I've noticed that asians have the tendency to be very good at taking an idea and running with it, but not always very innovative for themselves. I'm not talking about business acumen, btw, I'm talking about the actual generation of creative, new ideas. I suspect this must have to do with the very real necessity for conforming & working as part of a group. Independent thought & action hasn't been rewarded as much in asian society as in Western culture. In fact, I believe it even meant death sometimes (cultural revolution).

But my son is learning mandarin for a reason. If you can't beat em, join me.

I think this will definitely be the century of Asian auto makers

It is already. I don't think there's a single family on my street that owns a vehicle that's american. German, Italian, and Japanese.

    What's new?
Nation rise and fall.China used to be the great power of the old world, then came US in the industrial age and computer age.
Events are volatile, shifting and ever changing.

See, this is where I disagree. China was NOT an old world power. They were completely disinterested in the rest of the world.

    Times change.

It doesn't matter. I've always hated the industrialization of things.

Getting banned by the system admin could be a unique experience tho. If one's going to do it, might as well do it properly.

Anyway, you obviously speak at least *1* more language more fluently than I, so I'm rather careful about making assumptions about things in this regard.

Encourage your daughters, if you have them, to marry a successful, intelligent caucasian man. Or perhaps an Indian one. Spread the genetic wealth.

Italian cars own! If I had the dough I would have a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and Lamborghini Murcielago in my garage

China is an old power. They had the financial capabilities and army but their closed doors to foreign policies had them lose out in the creeping of the modern age.

China & india already send some rockets out to the space..
though they are extremely slow compare to USA or russia..
