It's a pity to see Audiogalaxy got shut down.
The other ways of downloading music from the net is through irc channel and p2p program.
P2P rules
p2p..what is that?? raverboy

You can download pretty much anything of this program.
peer to peer program
Go to www.download.com and search for p2p
There's alot of p2p program.
But some program are not good as they install spyware in the p2p program.
Better becareful of using p2p also because there's a way to integrate a virus into mpg file without you knowing.
Interesting can they steal anything from my comp files too?

I don't think they can unless your computer is infected with a trojan and then they maybe able to hack into your computer system and copy or do whatever thing they want.
I use Filenavigator...I think it's Ok.
Let us bow our heads in silence in the memory of our faithful Audiogalaxy...
What else can they steal I've been using it for a long time?
Ever since the shut down of audio galaxy (rest in peace) I've been getting my music through kazaa. It's a pretty good P2P application. The only way people could harm your computer through that is if you download some software that messes with your computer, but I've never encountered that. It does the trick.
Heit ist mein taug.
I've been using P2P since it came out and have no problem with it but I'm beginning to think some one is watching my computer.

Perhap, you might want install zonealarm(a free firewall program)and norton antivirus to protect your computer.
Thanks.
Kazaa is pretty cool. And you don't have to share all of your files. You have a shared folder you keep the files in that you want to share. Hence the name of the folder!
