Thought she liked me...but wants to be friends

So I hung out and talked with this girl, and so far we've only met for a few days. I know that's early but I myself thought we would work out well.
Well first of all, I live in Seattle while she lives on the other side of the state.
So anyway one day, I decide to ask her out and she reacts positively. A few days later when I go back to my hometown she tells me we should be good friends. She claims that when she sees me or talks to me over the net that she doesn't have a "butterfly-in-the-gut" or "heart-beating" feeling.

My question is, is it still possible to win her over? I figure so because even though I will be able to visit her about 7-10 times a year, I feel like if I hang out with her more and make her feel a bit more comfortable around me, maybe she will reestablish her feelings for me.

The answer is... (Shakes Magic 8-Ball) Probably not.

Do you really want to date someone you'll see 7-10 times per year?
"Well, then," the Cat went on, "you see a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad."

You can't force someone to feel a certain way about you.
