rant: womens thoughts on half naked men

Yesterday I read this article about what men thinks when they see a girl in bikini, just half naked, or completly naked. It was written by a female journalist, and was supported by scientific research, which include, but is not limited to: analysis of brain activity, surveys and reactions. The obvious conclusion was, that men generally thinks "What can I do sexually to this girl?" rather than "Would she prefer milk and sugar in her coffee?"

The test seemed completely idiotic to me, because that is a pretty obvious fact i'd say. I'm not a pervert, and frankly I can't see the turn-on in women in bikinis, unless it is a girl I really like already, but either way it makes perfect sense: why the hell would you pounder what she wants in her coffee when she is halfnaked in front of you?

The really (edit: ) weird statement the author made, goes translated like this: "Women would never think like this, because they are way more empath-minded" (not sure if you spell it that way, but no matter, the idea should be clear)

That statement sounds like crap in my mind. It might just be me who is starting to get frustrated because of the absence of my girlfriend, but... come on, don't EFFing tell me girls instantly start thinking casual, everyday stuff when a guy is standing naked or half naked in front of them. If that actually IS the case, i'll just shut up, but I seriously don't believe that as of right now.

What do you guys think? And what are you girls experince? discuss or answer!

Half-naked.. good-looking guy.. standing in front of me... yeah.. I'll think something sexual for a quick second... (even longer depending on which way he's half naked ).

Women have sexual thoughts too... not just men. Men usually have more prevalent sexual thoughts though... and of course, are stereotyped as being far more sexual than women...

Sounds like she was another feminist in denial.

Women think about impaling themselves on cocks all the time.

lol Frasbee, while I do doubt that they think about THAT all the time, I do agree with your first statement.

and to Aera, yeah, I would have asumed that as well, I would have found it strange if girls somehow should lack that kind of thinking - psycologically it is a basic ID instinct that can't be denied. While it can be suppressed quite a bit, it should always exist, unless the person for some reason isn't mentally normal. Pure assumption, but that is pretty much what I know about that stuff.

ha, in pure frustration I should bore myself to death by writing a letter to the newspaper about that article... lol

Don't bother, someone like that isn't going to yield to any logic, or fact.

Especially if it's in response to an article they had published and printed to millions of readers.

Hmm... I don't necessarily think about sex just because I see a shirtless man. I think that for me, a man has to be particularly exceptional-looking in order to warrant that response. I wish the original poster had posted the article... perhaps the point was that by comparison, men think of sex more often when looking at half naked women?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

If he is fine, topless, and wears something that shows the outline of his penis I would.

Vasthi, sorry i don't have the patientience to translate an article that long O__o

but the point was that men thought of sex when looking at halfnaked (bikini) women, and women didn't. in fact, the author claimed they didn't at all, which you guys kinda proved wrong xD

i suppose feminism strikes again, that, or she is a lesbian lol.

Even lesbians think of men... most of the supposed 'lesbians' I've encountered think of men an awful lot... always with the comparisons between men and women. One would think that a comparison wouldn't be required unless they were trying to make a 'choice.' Someone who is truly gay, wouldn't need to make a choice... because they can't choose which gender they are innately attracted to.

I think the woman who wrote this article was trying to 'not be like men'... even at the cost of being illogical. So what if women are sexual beings? What does it matter that a woman who sees a good-looking half-naked man thinks about being nailed to a wall for ... oh... 1-2 seconds? For crying out loud, we're all human... we're animals... and how else are we going to procreate if we don't think about/want sex?

xD great answer, that made me want to write an anwer to her article again lol xD

although I didn't knew there existed gays that aren't sure if they are gay or not O_o I thought it was only straits that refused to admit they were gay, not the other way around >_< but I suppose that differs from country to country, and from culture to culture.

Lesbianism is genuine... but truly rare. Most 'lesbians' are usually straight women who have been abused in some way and no longer feel comfortable around men. They may remain like this for years... but sooner or later they do return to their natural orientation.

Is that all he's wearing!?! Then I would definitely be thinking sexual thoughts.

Tashi, I don't think of sexual stuff just because a random man is near nude. I need more visual stimuation than him simply being topless with shorts. It needs to be graphic and he needs to appear very sexual. Many men just don't have that look. A woman in bikini leaves very little to the imagination for many men. Plus men can turn on their "sexual switch" very easily.

That's all I need to think sexual thoughts... if most men can easily turn on their 'sexual switch'... can any of them explain how to turn it off (aside from the obvious)?

I think most men's switches are broken. They can't turn it off unless they damage it lol. I guess women are the ones with the switches.
