    dumped for lack of intimacy/commitment

So my girlfriend broke it off with me finally because I wasn't willing to take our relationship to the level of sexual intimacy and moving in together.

We dated for 4 years. She actually left me on good terms. We hugged each other goodbye. She was crying a little bit. I didn't cry in front of her. I waited until I drove home to do that.

She says she still wants to keep in touch as friends. I said ok but I don't think I can follow through. Do you think no contact is the best route to take in this case? It's too painful to talk to her right now.

Absolutely ... no contact is essential for your own sanity.

Of course no contact is the name of the game... but perhaps there is yet potential for the relationship. You should fill us in on the problems you were having in the relationship.

yes, can you please elaborate on what lack of sexual intimacy and commitment mean? because after 4 years it sounds as though she did you a favour by dumping you.

I'll elaborate by saying that she wanted to move in together and I said I wasn't ready.

Also we never had sex. She was willing but I wasn't. I am addicted to pornography & masturbation. Sex doesn't excite me.

It was good for HER that you broke up. Don't contact her - she deserves a chance at a normal relationship.
