    Quarter-Life Crisis

    What do I do?

How do you live your dream and your passion when there is a recession going on? How do I not sell out? I'm worried I'll have a mid-life crisis and go berzerk, but I'm only 23 and already am worrying about the daunting future.

What can you do so that you don't let life slip by you? How do you live it to the fullest?

You live life to the fullest by making sure you go through the least amount of pain in your old age.
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
    God or the Devil

a freaking crisis is never as big as everyone makes it out to be.

What's your dream? And what do you define as selling out?

I'm a writer/musician and I'm starting to interview at insurance offices. It just scares the shit out of me, but I'm having trouble getting work in the field I studied for. Even then it's hard to make money. So I feel like I will have financial security (which is good) but I am scared of waking up one day and being like wtf did I do with my life?

I play piano, and write lyrics, as well as stories. Just trying to keep working on my shit, because that's what I know will bring me to where I want to be. But I'm just scared, and maybe it's healthy because it will keep me on track of my dream. I just want to live and die as an artist!! gah!!!

Do you play in a band? Have you made any recordings? Which venues do you play?

Nah, I'm not that far along yet. I'm still taking lessons. Pretty good though, I can play Bach, the Beatles and some Beethoven.

Don't artists need to experience hardship to help inspire their work?

How many artist's became famous and their work more valuable AFTER they die?
"The weakest soul, knowing its own weakness, and believing this truth that strength can only be developed by effort and practice, will, thus believing, at once begin to exert itself, and, adding effort to effort, patience to patience, and strength to strength, will never cease to develop, and will at last grow divinely strong."

How do you define hardship? Life's pretty hard, I wear helmets almost daily.

Haha, I cannot. I haven't seen the movie so I don't know what it sounds like.

Yeah, but i'd rather experience some of the return while I'm alive. If it gets better after I'm dead, maybe I'll fake my death and live in the mountains as a hermit. Or is that even crazier than where I already am? Hey, Tupac and Elvis did it.
