    Seperation Advice

    Hi all...

The girlfriend is going away for a week long concert in an area with zero cell phone service. I'm house-sitting for her, to watch her animals and everything, plus she said it'd help with the separation anxiety; which yes, it will... But this whole idea of not talking for such a long time is physically taking a lot out of me. I don't really know how to deal with this. Can't say I've had to deal with it before...

Dude, she's only going for a week

How long have you been together?
    Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame
Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame
    God or the Devil

Irrelevant. This is something I've dealt with my whole life, just not like this.

When my wife is gone for a week, I am like: WHEEHAAAA.. FREEDOM....

Not that I don't love her, don't get me wrong. I love her very much, but I don't depend on her.

Anyways, you seem to have separation anxiety or so... I'd say, talk to a doctor about it.

That doesn't sound good. What does your doctor say about this separation anxiety?

Yeah, she'll love that you wrote her a letter each day. Are either one of you going off to college anytime soon? If you are, you're going to have to deal with more than a week. This does sound like separation anxiety, especially if you say you have dealt with this your whole life.

You are very young. You mention being way beyond college, but you were still in college until a few years ago, right (05)?

This puts you mid 20s by my math, but I could be wrong. Mbe you were a mature student. Plus you have separation anxiety issues. I think its too soon for you to consider marriage.

How long have you been seeing each other? I would say you should be together at least 2 years before considering marriage. Unless you two are pregnant?
