Time for me to let it go?

Me and my girlfriend has been together for almost 5 months now. We love each other very much (as far as i can tell). Everything went the way we wanted, except for one thing. There is a guy that used to love my girlfriend, he asked her out, but she refused for some reasons.

I don't like that guy at all. 2-3 months ago, he tried to touch my girlfriend without her permission (that what she told me). I was about to kick his ass, but my girlfriend don't want any trouble, and i don't want to look like a violent guy in front of her either, so we went away. I was really mad, i almost broke the bookshelf in the library and a big cut on my hand. I asked her not to talk to him, and she promised me she wouldn't talk to him anymore.

everything went fine until some day she talk to him again, and again... for like 5-6 times. She always promised me after each time i caught her talk to him, and yet, she break all of her promises.

Now, i cannot take it anymore. I have lost my trust on her. I don't know what to do anymore, should i have a serious talk with her and maybe give her another chance? or should i just drop it?
