Romance on Rails

So i have a pretty silly problem. This summer while commuting to my internship i noticed a really cute guy who travels on the same train as me. i noticed he lives and works in the same neighborhoods as me. I don't always run into him and have only 1 and a half weeks left until my internship is done and i will stop traveling on that route everyday.

SO, i really want to make some kind of a move. the problem is, he is always staring into his ipod. AGH. i don't know what to do. i know that if i do nothing he will just be another what if on my list. so the question is, how can i approach him? what can i do? from a guys point of view, would you get freaked out if a girl made a move on you in the morning commute? also i mentioned this is other forums, i live in NYC and ppl are pretty disconnected on the trains cause everyone is used to being surrounded by too many ppl all the time, so everyone is life a zombie and is used to ignoring everyone around them....

please give me some tips on how to approach him :-D

LOL i have a zune, but i listen to it and look around me... and i don't know how to start talking to someone who has music in his ears and has his eyes on a tiny screen. oh and he never sits, which i think is very nice since most men on the train in the morning knock women out of their way running for a seat lol.

Give him a little wave, and start to talk. If he pulls his earbuds out to listen to you, he's interested.

And I second the emotion about kids and their iPods...

I think we're losing something as a society with everyone focusing on their own little world (Ipods, cellphones).

shit, i know i would love it if some random girl just walked up to me and flirted with me. it doesnt happen often since girls believe that it is a guys job to make the first move. for me its quite exciting if the girl make the first move. talk to him. if he blows you off **** him. you live in a city where there are so many people.

a girl who i wouldnt aprroach, if she approached me i would be automatically more interested in her. i think sometimes guys feel the same way you girls feel when a guy doesn't show you any attention. give it a whirl i wanna know how it goes
