So, I finally got her - now what? (dating ideas)

Long story short: I finally had the balls to tell my best friend that I liked her, and for sick twisted reason she also turned out to like me - so we spend the rest of the evening making out. The next day she traveled to Rome on vacation.

Normally you date people so can get to know each other, but since we've been best friends for ages this doesn't really make sense. Still, since we both think dating is fun I said:

Me: "So, in order to do this correctly, we need to go on a first date when you get back"
Her: "Of course we do"

So, here I am thinking of a great idea for our "first date", and I'm totally clueless. She briefly hinted at "mountain biking", but 1) I don't have two mountain bikes 2) I would hate just to do whatever she said. Even though I'm mostly thinking of outdoor activities it's not mandatory, I also thought about some stand up comedy, but I know that the last two guys she dated took her to a stand up comedy show.

Any ideas?

She's your best friend ... you should KNOW what kinds of things she enjoys ... don't overstress on it. Make it something special so it's not just like hanging out but other than that, pick something you both enjoy. Just don't take her to something unusual if it's the same thing her ex did with her.

There are a million things to do, indoors and out. Your "date" is not to impress as much as getting used to being together as a couple after years of friendship.

Go-karts

Outdoor dining
Batting cages
Aquarium
Fishing
Dog show
Local street fair
Amusement park

I think you're going about it all wrong.

Do the stuff you normally do together, the thing that changed was the only thing that changed- feelings. You like her, flirt with her, touch her, hug her, kiss her, hold her hand. Its the company that makes a great date- not what you do.
