    I start school tomorrow.

I don't think I mentioned this to anybody, but when I started working for this new company back in...I guess June or July, the deal was that I had to attend apprenticeship school. I am on a prevailing wage job so I get paid more so long as I am on that job. However, that "extra" money can be used for benefits or education. So essentially, I'm paying for my own school at the moment.

I'm in my 2nd year of doing this work, February will be 3.

But they're starting me at the bottom until I can prove I can test up, which I believe I can.

    It's twice a week from 6:30-9.

So I guess I'm kind of a student now.

Neat! Post about your classes. I'm curious what they teach in electrician school. Will you be a journeyman when you finish?

I got a lunchbox, no back pack.

Actually, I did just get in my new tool bag!

My first class night was pretty much what I expected, though.

    Boring.

The teacher just read out of the book.

I had talked to some of the dudes that had already started the class and they all said it was going to be like this. I honestly feel like it's a waste of money at the moment. I've heard nothing but good things about Union training. Maybe if I were completely new the the trade it would be different.

I'm already well ahead in the little workbook that accompanies the text book, just because I was bored. Never been great at math, but I aced the reading/writing standardized tests in highschool. I learned not to read the material but to scan for keywords in the question. I should be finished that workbook in 3 or 4 classes.

Must be an old student now.
