    The Village

so what's the deal with the movie, The Village, people tell me it was good but the previews wern't accurate. I don't want to waste my money on a cheap wannabe good film.

If you do into the movie thinking it is going to be scary (thats what the previews make you think), then you are going to come out VERY disappointed/pissed off.

I went in knowing it wasn't going to be scary, and actually found myself enjoying it. Not one of his bests (like the Sixth Sense!) but I don't think I wasted my money on going to see it.

I thought it was great. I was expecting to be scared, but what I got instead was quite intense! I think intense is a better sensation than fear. So go into it expecting a great story with a lot of "unknowns" and you'll love it!

oh man, i was soooo disappointed in that movie! I went into that movie theatre thinkin i was gonna get the shit scared outta me! I hate movies where the monster turns out to be a real person in the movie. Like the Scream movies....i hated them! I've been watchin scary movies since I was like 8 yrs old anyways! I love 'em!

But the whole point is that it was not intended to be like the Scream movies. It wasn't intended to scare you, it was intended to make you sit on the edge of your seat the whole time. It was sort of a mind game.

Friend of mine told me the whole story, probly the dumbest premise I've heard in a long time. M. Night tries WAY too hard to squeeze the biggest twist out of an ending possible. I'm glad it finally blew up in his face. Maybe he'll try to make a more simple movie, a normal one.
