Don't Know What To Do
Basically I live in a flat with my flatmate and my boyfriend. My boyfriend hasn't been working lately, we thought he'd had a job but the man he was sposed to be working for keeps letting him down. He hasn't paid any rent yet, but a month or so ago the three of us agreed he'd pay a third of the rent. This is due next week and he's had no work whatsoever and not been paid.
If I tell my flatmate for the second month running that he can't pay he's going to be really annoyed. I don't want my boyfriend to move out but he can't live here for free, I feel like I'm being taken advantage of because he doesn't keep me updated as to what he's doing with regards to work. I was thinking of paying 2 thirds of it and him giving me the money back but would that look like I'm being a doormat again?
He's not the type to just sit around and do nothing, he has genuinely been waiting for a phone call to start work with this guy and we've both just come to the conclusion it won't materialise now. I don't want to kick him out but I also don't want to be taken for an idiot?
Any ideas? xxx

has he made any attempts to go look for a job since he know this one is no go?
...if not then I would talk to him, tell him that whilst your willing to hep out, you dnt have the resources to make the next rent for the both of you...that should get his ass into gear

Maybe he should be the one to tell your flatmate he can't pay.

Yeah, why should you tell your flatmate that, have him do it. And you two can go on "date" and really pass by places that are hiring and be like, o look they are hiring go apply, pass by the next tell him to go apply, keep doing so untill he's applied to a decent amount of places.
