How to act with this girl?

Hello,

I just turned 17 and I've been with a girl once, seeing as I was not really looking for a girlfriend in the past years. Even today, I'm not. Although, I've came across this new girl at my school. I asked her out and she said "I like you but I can't date you because of our cultural difference". What she meant was her parents wouldn't allow her to go out with a guy who wasn't the same religion as her. Although, she changed her mind, yesterday when texting me. I feel like I've pushed her into trying to date me. Since then, each time I talk to her, she reacts differently. I know this might be a stupid question, but should I just take it slow with her? Like next time I see her should I just talk to her as a friend or what? I mean, I've asked my girls friends but each of them are different and might not be neutral, so I would like an advice from someone who doesn't know me or the girl.

If she is saying that she can't date you because of cultural differences then it might not be a good idea to date her.

Hmmm she doesn't mind herself, just because she isn't 18 thats mainly why
