Donating plasma. VASHTI HALP!

A guy I ride with says he donates plasma and gets like $125 per donation which he does once a week. Can you enlighten me to anything about this?

I know its kind of painful, but needles and blood donation don't bother me. $125 a week for giving, in essence, blood is appealing.

I know they turn around and sell it for $5000 a treatment.

Edit: Because someone is going to bring it up, no I wont donate sperm, and yes I think it produces "Octo-moms."

Yeah, plasma is different than blood. The guy could have been full of shit to, like that time he said he could do an endo and just kind of stopped. He's a story teller.

Blood can only be donated every 84 days or something like that. I need to go do that more often, they call me a lot to donate. I'm either a rare blood type or a universal donor, I don't remember.

I had a soccer game against one of the tougher teams in our division that night and didn't even put 2 and 2 together. I played the full 90 minutes at midfield plus the bonus time. I walked off the field to the sideline after the final whistle and blacked out right in front of the sideline official. I woke up with my mom sanding over me with this terrible look on her face, good times. I was in good shape, had a six pac and the whole nine yards back then, I think I would just straight up die today.
