Clothing Stores for 30 Something Men?

Where do the other 30 something men here shop for clothing? It seems all the stores in the mall are geared towards teenagers and 20 somethings, or for much older men. I don't want to dress like I'm trying to be 21 forever, but I'm not ready for khakis and buttoned up collard shirts.

You have to know what style do You have. Besides You wear something else to work and something else everyday. My bf buys clothes at hugo boss or diesel or versace. He has some jeans and tshirts/sweatshirts but some suits as well (cause he's a lawyer). He's 26 and he doesn't look too young nor too old .

My oldest brother is 31 but he's having more 'london style', I don't think You would like it so I don't even tell You. Besides I don't know exactly where he buys his clothes.

This is all I can tell

It depends on the purpose of your clothing. I usually go to a tailors for formalware and casual, and any good department store for jeans and tees and such. My business requires that I wear western, hunting and/or fishing clothes, and I get those things at Cabela's or Bass proshop.

The trouble with "designer', stores, is that you become locked into their sense of style, and have limited room for your own preferences. If you go to a good tailor, you are freer to experiment.

The problem with that, is I don't like to spend more then $50 for a shirt, and $75 for pants. I'm kind of clumsy sometimes, and it's inevitable that I'll spill something on my clothes within a month of owning them.

shheadz, here fr example in Germany, hugo boss jeans costs about 120 euro, which is not much for guy's clothes . Those companys sound expensive but they aren't really ... Besides diesel isn't that 'expensive' ,it's like levi's or something... AND if You take care of Your clothes like my bf do , they look like new even after 5 years. He needs to do that since it's hard for him to find clothes as he's almost 2m long.

Yeah, I agree they aren't too expensive.. unless you're a klutz like me. I swear every cup of coffee I buy has a defective lid, and I end up spilling it all over me. Lucky coffee washes out pretty well.

I already did some shopping at the online Diesel store (The only thing within 50 miles of where I live is a Kmart), and I dig that style. Thanks Pettit-Papillon.

So maybe You just ask how to clean dirty spots on Your clothes hmm? At best if You spit Your coffee on Your clothes, go quick to the bathroom and clean it with pure water. At best is to clean Your hands first and then clean the spot with pure water, as much as You can. You can also use some cleaning products. After wash it in a machine and it should go away.Coffee spots aren't that bad, there are worse things that go away , if You know how to handle it

Just some advice - if you're going to buy online watch out on sizes from the European designers (Hugo Boss etc). For me, the sizes are spot on but when i was shopping in the US, a medium was often too long and trouser lengths and cuts are just a bit longer/wider than i'm used to. (it's a pain in the ass sending mailing stuff back).

One thing i did though was buy a nice looking shirt for say $30, then taking it to a tailor and having it cut to size for the fitted look for like $10. Got a tailored shirt that looks as good as the Tommy Hillfiger one i bought that was originally priced $85!

WTF do you buy? Ed hardy from head to toe?

I spend no more than like $20 on a shirt and a little more on jeans. You can find anything reasonable if you're willing to search a little. All my pants are Calvin Klein, American Eagle, Tommy or Old navy. I don't care what you say, old navy jeans are comfy.

My shirts and stuff aren't name brand, flashy stuff. I get shirts related to what I like to do. I have a zillion motorcycle and ski type shirts.

You might have a two tone polo from Abercrombie, but you still look like a fag. - This is pretty much how I see the materialist people. Save your money, clothes are disposable.

Those were just the extreme end of the price range. I'll have to look into some of the pants you mentioned. I didn't know the the pants from the brands you mentioned could be so cheap.

I don't like flashy stuff either. That doesn't even work where I live. If you walk into a bar looking like you stepped straight out of GQ magazine, you'll get nothing but funny looks. Like I said, I go for the all American guy look, which is basically jeans and a t-shirt.
