asking out my classmate

i really want to ask out one of my classmates from last semester. we were both in the same lab group so we got to know each other somewhat. I really want to ask her out but im not sure as to how i should do it. I was thinking about just sending her a text saying that we should hang out sometime. But im not sure if thats the best way. Plus i dont want to be too forward if she does turn me down as i have 3 classes with her next semester.

Nothing wrong with that. Some here will say you should call her -- and maybe you should -- but still.. young people and their texting these days.
