Looking for advice on introductions.

Hey, i'm gona keep this simple.

I'm an 18 yr old guy in college, I like a girl who goes to my college, but i'm a shy guy and i'm worried ill screw up the first impression because of it. So i'm looking for some straight forward advice to give me a bit of a confidence boost and the push i need so i can actually talk to this girl and hopefully make something out of it. Examples of situations and whatever would be good, as well as stuff i could say without sounding like a perverted middle aged man =P

Also i have never really done anything like this as my past girlfriends were all introduced to me by friends and the like, which is why i'm bricking it over the first impression, becasue the pressures on.

I'm not going to feed you pick up lines but there's converstation starters that will get the first words in. If she thinks you're nice and or cute she will talk back. If she doesn't you'll get one word answers and she'll eventually just walk away.

You see her holding a math text book.
"Ahh math 203- I took that with so-so, he's a tough cookie, who's your professor?"

See her in the cafeteria grabbing sushi (sandwich, salad, greasy chinese)
"Excellent choice might I say" smile... start conversation.

I dunno lame these may be. But if a dude said this to me and (provided I was at least somewhat attracted to him) it wouldn't bother me in the least to have a little chat.

I like the ideas from girl68, it's important you make it look very casual and spur of the moment, you don't want it to look contrived and as though you have been planning it, just wont have the same effect. Good luck!

cool, i think ill just go about my day as usual and look out for situations like this. Hopefully i can find something soon before it's too late or whatever.
