    Missed Connections

So..somebody wrote a craigslist missed connections about me! It describes me and my car perfectly, and the date and time that I was at a particular Safeway. The ad says that we made eye contact, and he saw me checking him out.....but I have no memory of noticing anyone. When I get exhausted, as I was that day, I sometimes stare blankly into space.

I am not going to respond. My friends are divided as to if I should or not. I find it more creepy than romantic. If he saw me both in the store, and in the parking lot, it makes me feel like I was followed. This was later at night, and the lot was relatively empty too.

Have you ever posted or been the subject of a missed connections? Do you know anyone who did and it actually worked out?

Respectively, no, no, and no. But I do periodically read missed connections for a great laugh.

And it sounds like the guy was overeager to interpret whatever marginal eye contact you two made as mutual interest.

I did post a missed connections once, it was more of a joke than anything, however.

I backed into a dumpster a couple of weeks ago, and the back end of my car is all smashed, and a while ago I tore the side mirror off my car and then glued it back on so its crooked. I am an awesome driver!

The missed connection mentioned both these things. One of my friends saw it, recognized my car, and forwarded it to me.

Ok, as long as you weren't scouring them

I completely agree with your instincts, seems very creepy.

    Missed connection from Mish:

Your name was Andrea and you were my next door neighbor. You flirted with me regularly and when I asked you for your number you gave it to me telling me we should catch up. I setup a date with you and one hour before we were suppose to meet I called you and you said that you forgot about our date. So I went out and found someone more respectful and better looking than you. A couple of months later when you saw us hugging in the stair well, the look on your face was priceless.

    Sucked in Andrea.
