I think its funny how the American crickets are chirping about this. That wouldn't have been the case had they won. LOL.

You don't know my US friends. They deserve it. Did you catch the whingey comment this am from the US team:

"sometimes, the best team doesn't win..." Boo hoo. They didn't say that in the prelims.

    I'll be good tomorrow.

They said that? That's bs! Man, no class at all. Their coach did say something like.."both teams won and more importantly the game of hockey was a big winner"

The thing is, they don't know that when they make comments like that, we get pissed . Of course we play our best hockey when we're angry so keep it coming!

Yeah Wilson coaches the Maple Leafs which i follow but the guy has no real coaching style and most can't stand him. He got his job through Canadians. Our Canadian boy Patrik Marleau was coached by him in San Jose and didn't like him. Marleau scored around 30 goals in each season with Wilson. After Wilson left, he started getting around 40 and this season is also on pace to score 50+. Tells you something...

Here is something interesting about that game.

According to Sports Business Daily (reg. required), the Olympic Gold Medal Hockey Game drew an astronomical 17.6/33 overnight rating. This is up 46% from the 2002 USA/Canada showdown, and will very likely be the highest-rated hockey game since 1980. The share means that 1 in every 3 Americans with a TV were watching the game. This is, to put it professionally, out of this world.

Here's what Russians are saying about Russian teams:

Russians should've had Plushenko play hockey. At least he would've lost gracefully.

Finally our hockey players are playing as bad as our soccer players!

Only one thing left to be happy about - the Winter Olympics in Russia -Sochi, are going to take place 2 years after the end of the world - 2014

I thought the Sochi display for 2014 was really classy and the best part of the closing ceremonies. The Russian hockey team will be all fired up for those games.
