I mean, sites specifically for that function. Facebook doesn't allow you to search specifically for singles who are looking for other singles...

I agree getting out and meeting people does work but if you have your heart set on meeting somebody online then check dating services in the city you live in or at least the nearest city to you thats of good size. A lot of cities have these websites now and it just varies on what they cost....but I don't think any of them are free.

thanks for that okcupid.com suggestion, I tried it out and it's much better than the other "free" site I've been using, Zoosk. I realize the best way to meet people is obviously in person, but I'm not really that serious about finding somebody right now so I'm just experimenting with the whole online thing, which is why I think it's outrageous to pay $20 a month for a site like Match.com or some big one like that. I'm just having fun, not looking for a wife!
