May the Force Be With You

It's with me! I went out and got my copy, first thing in the morning! Oh, man, Starwars is a great Saga.. Well, the original episodes IV, V, and VI anyway.

No need to bother with the others, the original 3 are the bestest. I picked up the new Star Wars game Battlefront today. It's been pretty fun so far.

    THREAD HIJACK:

I haven't played computer games in a while, but a shitload of awesome games are hitting the shelves and I playing all of em, in order of greatest importance:

By the way, Star Wars: Commandoes and Full Spectrum Warrior both seem to have that same squad-leader system, I'm really excited by the design, the FSW demo was awesome and I'm curious how they'll implement it in SW:RC.

Also, its time for some Computer Penis Envy, here's my self-built rig:

    AMD XP-3200 400FSB

    RADEON 9800 Pro 256MB

Hey, I haven't played computer games in even longer...the last system I was really into was the Super Nintendo..then I did a little Nintendo 64..but after that I didn't get into the rest..just lack of time, mainly.

But I've really been itching to get into computer gaming where it's online and especially strategy games.

What do you recommend to get my feet wet or can I jump straight into one of the ones you mentioned and they'll have little practice levels??

Also I should be getting high speed internet soon, cuz I know modem's pretty much no good for online gaming.

They'll have practice levels, it should be no problem getting into the game. You may, however, need to upgrade your computer system, since high-end graphic processing probably hasn't been a priority for you when you configured your computer.

my computer isn't to old.. I only got it last year. It's got a pentium 4, 2.66GHz, I think. I don't know about graphics configurations, but shouldn't the system requirements be on the game boxes? Even if it's not the sharpest image, can't I play them just as well, or will it slow me down, making me vulnerable in a real time game?

I go with Xbox. That way, I know that any game made for it WILL work with it. I don't have to worry about minimum system requirements because it's made FOR the xbox.

So with THAT in mind, I've gotten rid of all games except for Halo. Next purchases? Dead or Alive Ultimate, Halo 2. MAYBE burnout 3 (will rent first for a trial).
