an emotional connection

hi, ive known this girl for a couple of months now, ive seen her only a few times though along with text conversations, but i am starting to feel comfortable with her, as to whether she feels the same im unsure. I met her and her friend where they work last weekend and plan on doing it again this weekend. After that the next time i intend to see her will be with just us two and hopefully a walk on the beach. Ive been a bit down recently about personal problems in my life (parents divorce finalised, i feel she can relate to this because she had the same problem a few years ago) and i want to talk to a friend about this with (girl preferably) and she's the first that comes to mind.

From a female perspective is this too soon? would it scare her off and do you think she might open up also?

I see no harm in mentioning it to her and because she has been through the same thing.
Just don't make a habit of pouring out your troubles, else she will begin to feel like your therapist.
