I feel really bad..I should have helped him while I could. Now he's gone.

My boyfriend messaged me online. He had just gotten back from a long bike ride with some of his friends. When he got back, I was watching a movie with my sister and mom. He told me that he wanted to video chat with me because he was really angry, and I am the only one he can talk to to calm down. However, I told him that I really couldn't because I couldn't just get up and leave during the movie, which really I could have. A few minuets later, I had to start making dinner, and he was about to leave to go see a game with some of his family. He told me not to worry about him, that he would be fine. But I feel really awful. Does he think I'm not there enough for him? He does alot for me, and now when he needed me, I was too busy watching TV to even help him. I feel terrible, I think he feels the same way, but he would never tell me that. What do I do?

You can't be expected to drop everything every time he snaps his fingers. Yes, he probably would have appreciated the attention, but does his life revolve around your needs? I'll bet it doesn't.

Apparently he was able to calm down all by himself, without your slavish attention. Gigabitch is right, and if you doubt it try bugging him when he's doing something he enjoys, then guage his reaction.
