...this is just my perspective on the situation...
You're over 21 and haven't been kicked out yet, raver...or maybe you've been kicked out but chose to stay at home anyway, heh heh..
Freddie

"Don't be afraid to fail because only through failure do you
learn to succeed." "Oh and be careful what you do...you'll never know who's watching..."
awww...thanks you guys! Yea the whoppin 34! Another day older, and another day wiser!
Yup, and damn young when my kid gets out of here, I will be 37~ I can handle it. TIME FOR ME TO HAVE SOME FUN!
Thanks again you guys! Thats very sweet!
everything happens for a reason...beginning to wonder why.
nomas.. i happily live at home and i'm 24.. i could care less because i have free rent, my moms washes my clothes and irons them, btw she cooks and cleans for me..what else, they pay for my school, and i inheretted my grandfather's car. anything else that i'm missing?? haha

You have yet to beat my record, raver.
I was at home up until last month, pretty much. A whopping 26! Except I bought my own car, iron my own clothes and tried to conserve the Moms by helping out where I could..oh yeah, payed rent. They didn't charge, but gladly accepted the cash. And why not? It's how they were raised and how they raised us: You grow up enough to have a lil job..you help out the homestead and the folks...especially if you live under the same roof.
As a friend of mine said...never stop giving some to the Moms..even if it's just a buck a month, always give em' a lil something and your own money will go farther..

i think that it's really different here in hawaii. most peope usually live with their parents up until who knows... take a look at my neighbors for example. my neighbor has brought in this mother, and i think their daughter and her husband lives with them. might i include their grand daughter... 4 generations under one roof. shrugs... i think that overall people live at home longer. about the paying thing though, i'm probably just lazy haha. but i'm probably not as bad as i sound. i just love to live the easy life. raverboy

Happy B-day there Squirrel.
Actually, Mexican culture is the same way. You just live at home till you get married..ha ha, some even after..they just bring the spouse in. But that's only if they jumped the gun and got married too early..before they had their own house, which is ideally the way it should be...but yeah, the independence by 18 thing is an american thing that mexicans don't partake in, necessarily. By mexicans I don't mean mexican-americans...I mean mexican-mexicans. Once you've been here a couple of generations, you're pretty well assimilated.
Anyway, the folks are sad to see you go under this philosophy, but it's gotta happen sooner or later.
