If you were this guy, what do those mean to you?

This guy was with me secretly about a year, we just broke up. On the day he sent my the goodbye email, he posted these songs as his online messages. They are : we are free now, picture by Kid Rock, Far away by Nickleback, viva forever, what hurts the most( in the same order as he posted). He also shut down his fb account in one or two hours after i replied his goodbye email.

My reply to his email was like i will take care myself and good luck to him. In two days i saw all those messages and sent another email to him said wanted to keep him as a friend and indirectly asked about what all those messages about. His reply was: messages were not because of me, pray for me but may not see me around.

If you were this guy, what do all these mean to you? I need to know what is that mean to a guy. Cuz we have so many common friends and we all closed. I don't know how to interact with all these friends.

Here is a bit background of him: he had a gf 4 years ago, their relationship lasted about 5 years. one of his closed female friend just move out the area.

The best move to do is just cut all the stuff out of your line of sight. He's trying to garner sympathy, trying to get your attention and affection, basically trying to portray himself as the victim that is hurt. It doesn't help, it helps you read into it (i.e. sending him an email to BE FRIENDS which you shouldn't be anyway), and so on. Don't torture yourself anymore.
