Remember when the initial estimates of barrels of oil were a 10th of what has been pouring out. Damn.Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.

Great news, but the damage is done. Remember the Exxon Valdez spill, it was so bad people up til recently referred to it as one of the worst environmental catastrophes in history.
