use buses more often. in the 7 years i've used them to get around they've been on time about... twice? complaining about how late they are gets you talking to some pretty cool people.
if that fails... go out with mates and see if anyone catches your eye.

Think about the things you find attractive in women and go where they would be. If you like smart women, check out local book stores. If you like women who like the nightlife, check out the local clubs.
