Me and my girlfriend got very close over the summer. We have been dating over a year now. But I recently left for college, a college 7 hours away from her's. I want her to transfer up here next semester, and everything would work out... but her dad is hesitant. I've been in enough relationships to tell that what we have is real.

I miss her so bad that it literally makes me almost sick. Please help. What can I possibly say to help convince her dad that this isn't a mistake?

Why do u need to convince her dad about anything? Are you planning on asking her dad for her hand in marriage or something? If there's a valid reason for her to transfer schools (besides just to be with you), then the decision should be up to her as to what she wants to do with her life. Would I recommend switching schools just so you two could be closer? No, because the move would be in vain if things didn't work out. So reassess your situation and see if the move is worth it for either of you.
