Being away over Christmas...

Hi all you insightful girls out there...

I'm going away overseas for three weeks over Christmas to attend a few family gatherings. I've been with my girlfriend for about 9 months now and we're really happy. However, she's not too excited about me being away for most of December, especially since she's having a rough patch with her parents at the moment and is really looking forward to university holidays.

My question is: How can I make her Christmas?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

leave things for her to find when shes at home for the holidays
send her things in the post out of the blue.

Why won't you bring her into your family gatherings instead? If her parents can permit it why not? I am sure she'd be delighted

Yes, do this. ^^

Call/text her as much as you can (not excessively) to let her know that you're thinking about her. Regularly set aside some time where she can vent to you about her current family issues. And make sure her Christmas gift is awesome as hell.

Oh and, I shouldn't even have to say this but be absolutely sure to call on Christmas day to say "Merry Christmas." I've known people who are close that went away over the holidays and didn't call on Christmas, wtf. It really pissed me off.
