    Old people

I'm seeing this spot on tv everyday and it's really so sad but also true. We should be there for old people as long as they are still here.I personally lost my last granparent when I was 8yo and never could really feel how it is to have granfather or grandmother. What I remember that my grandfather was playing cards with my brother and my cousin and my grandmother's lunch was the best I ever had. And her cherry pies ... I wish I could enjoy having grandparents a bit longer ,but that's life. And then I see how some of my friends don't even care that they have granparents. They don't visit them ,or do it just when they need money. It's so heartless... I still can enjoy my bf's grandparents. He has one grandfather and one grandmother, I really like them and I wish I could meet them more.
Well, this is the video .

And btw, that song is lovely.
    I wazzzz here

i see LOTS of old people that no one seems to care about in the hospital. It's so sad. It makes me hope I die quickly - like maybe being run over by a train or bus.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I'm going back to Ohio this winter to see my grandfather. I don't think anyone ever goes to visit him. He's 85 and still living all by himself...

Unfortunately I am guilty of this. Actually I don't visit any of my family outside of my parents. Occasionally I drop by to see one of my cousins, but there are just too many f*cking things to do in a day to go around visiting a bunch of people. Our society is set up so that you have to constantly work for someone else most of the day and then any time left is spent doing necessary things like cleaning up, cooking or shopping. The weekend is simply crash and burn time to recover from the week and then you do it all over again. Life is simply not conducive to family anymore.
...one can be sure of nothing until it has already happened...

I love my grandparents like parents, and I'm the only grandchild that makes considerable effort to visit them on a regular basis. Could be why I'm the 'favorite'.

A lot of my clients are seniors. Old people used to annoy me when I was younger, but when you really sit down and talk to them they're funny and have really interesting stories to tell sometimes. I always think of them as young people trapped in withering bodies, because that's how I feel I'll be when I'm old.
