Should I make the move for the kiss?

So I'm getting involved with someone and only a few close people know about it so far should I wait for the first date or is it ok to give a kiss on the cheek first without being too over the top?

Only you know how much you 2 are involed with each other. Even so after a date is the safest option.

Well I just wanted to give him a heads up just before someone might twist a story around.. (people gossip too much) However I would not be one bit surprised if he already knew Nor would he have any issues with it. Since he always says a give girl needs a nice guy like you.

I will catch up with him sometime this week.

Depends on the culture. Here in a France a kiss on both cheeks between men and women is customary and not sexual. In more general terms you have to get a feeling for how it's going. With an ex GF we didn't kiss on the first of second date. By the third date we were in bed. You have to get a feel for how it's going.
