My girl is an actor

So I've been with My girl for like 3 years almost and I love her so much my problem is that she is an actres and sometimes has to do romantic scenes. It drives me completely nuts. Just the idea of another man touching her is enough to make me wAnt to beat them to death with my bare hands, not that I've ever done that . I have no idea how to deal with this, it's causing us to hav problems, any advice????

If so, you chose to get involved with her and in knowing what she was, the work it might entail....DEAL WITH IT or leave if you aren't happy.

well i dont get mad at her i know its not like shes cheating or anything but as a man i just have a real hard time "dealing with it". leaving her is not an option i love her too much, the whole purpose of this was for advice on HOW to deal with this

You just need to forget about it and not take it as a personal insult. You must know it's irrational for you to have a problem with it, yet you still allow it to bother you. Stop letting it bother you. I'm not sure what else to say.

It's a job that involves 'drama'.

Try distinguishing between 'a tv drama' and 'reality'.....

You need to deal with your insecurities. This isn't her issue, it's yours.

I've actually been in the same situation, when I was in high school. A girlfriend of mine was in Drama, and did plays in which she had to be the romantic lead with some other guy. If you trust her, if you believe that it's just for the play, you'll be fine. If you don't, you'll be insecure and jealous for no good reason, and you'll drive her off.

I have done a bit of acting here and there and have done romantic scenes as well. Though it sucks that you have to watch your girlfriend kiss another guy, think of it like this. If she's a good actress, she's not herself. She is her character. Also, I've noticed a tendency that people who have the best on-stage romantic chemistry often do NOT get along in real life. So, in most cases, she probably doesn't like him anyways. Be confident in your relationship. If it wold make you feel better, talk to her ONCE about it. Say that it makes you uncomfortable, maybe because she's so convincing? Maybe you can go hang out with the cast if they have a big get together so you could meet her castmates and get to know them. But don't harp to her on it. You should support her in what she wants to do. She'll surely appreciate it. When you get upset, just breathe and remember it's all professional.
