OMFG, We have history in the making here!

I know I'm 24 years old and should be all mature and all that crap, but this is just too f***ing exciting!

We are having a "White Christmas" in Houston, Texas!!!!!

This never happens here. It's always 90 degrees here in winter. But it's actually snowing, real snow. Sure, people from up north would say, "You call that snow? That's not snow." But having lived here all my life with the only time we had snow/sludge was in '89, I am f***ing excited as all get out. Yeah!!!! The cars have a light coat, and it's just getting started. Awesome!

I'm so excited, as ya'll can tell. I don't expect replies, but I just wanted to share in my excitement.

    A White Christmas finally, woo-hoo!

Haha, I take snow for granted, but it's fun to watch people who've never had it experience it.

I also take snow for granted (being in NJ).

When I was out in Colorado, I had a big ass black roommate (HUGE football player) from southern california who had never seen snow. I have to say, one of the funniest memories I'll ever have is when we had our first snowstorm in September up there, got about a foot, and he forced me to go outside and have a snowball fight with him. After we were done I couldn't stop laughing because I went upstairs and looked out the window and saw a 6' 230 lb, solidly built man making as many snow angels as he could!

Enjoy the snow man. It isn't a white christmas here.

Since I do live up north, snow is completely natural to see.
I enjoy it when the snow nicely covers everything, but this year we had the biggest snow fall in a long time. Go 23 centimeters in 2 days. So I wasn't to impressed.

    Heres a few pictures.
The first image is just after the storm ended. My car is stuck. lol
The second image is the day after the storm. Lots of snow!

We get no snow in Cali
I remember it snowed when I was stuck in the burbs of Illinois... Was the first time I ever saw people plug their cars into the wall to warm up the block from the ice...

Only snow I ever see is when I go snowboarding up at Tahoe, but by that time it isn't snowing and the stuff is all mushy... no fresh powder

But I don't think I'd wanna live in an area thats like 30s....
We consider 50s damn cold already here!

I think most of us who get snow almost every year take snow for granted. for us snow is just snow but for someone who never experienced it...it's like....WOW!

You can say that again... WOW! A white Christmas in Houston... who'da thunk it. I actually got hit with a snowball, twice, and one went down my shirt... brrrr!

And get this, being typical Houston weather, the following day it was back to 90 degrees. Well more like 75ish, but still. It was a dramatic change, as usual. It's something I'll never forget though.

well i've never experienced snow before. and it's really weird, in some places in hawaii it ACTUALLY does snow. however it is only on top of one of the mountains on the neighbor islands. honestly though, even though i've never seen snow before, i think that i'll be too cold to even care.

Oh, I didn't know you were from Hawaii, my brother just got back from there to visit us here, he hates snow, and we just got about an inch yesterday.

yup, it's really cold. imagine being in a nice where the lowest temperatures are probably in the 70's, then jumping into the snow. quite different.

Yeah we just got the same storm that spanded all the way down to the texas region, it was the worst ice storm I have ever seen. First 6-11 inches of snow fell, then a snow/rain mix came down, and then -8 degree weather. Which means power outage for two days, and every object outside covered with 2 inches of ice..I kid you not! the ice was so inthralling on the trees that it bent the tree branches and snapped some of the smaller trees in half, causing power lines to collapse. It was horrible, and really weird to be in the house all day without power and then some.
