So my brother is gonna be shipped out by the stupid ass army usin' the backdoor draft on him, threatened to charge him with treason if he didn't. So before he goes he wants to pop the question to his girlfriend and marry her before Feb. 2nd (when he gets shipped), and he told me he would like it if I came out to Hawaii to fill in as best man. 3 problems. 1. I only have like 2-3 weeks to plan and go on this trip. 2. Don't have much money, especially when the tickets are like $600 round trip. 3. I've never traveled by plane by myself before (which really isn't that much of a problem) but the first two are. Buying the ticket alone would basically strip me of much of my cash, so then there wouldn't be much to spend for the week I'd plan to stay there. But I feel like I should really go out there cause I didn't get to give him a proper "see ya later" before he left here a week ago. They way I'm thinkin' about it, I don't want to have any regrets, we don't know where the army is shipping him out to or for how long and I don't wanna take the chance, I already lost a cousin who was like a brother to me, I would seriously seriously consider suicide if I lost Jim. (Despite my signature I've never seriously thought about suicide). So what you guys think? Anybody know of good sites to get cheap tickets?

most places you go, like orbitz.com, will have comparable pricing. The only one they won't show you elsewhere is southwest.com, but I'm not sure they fly to Hawaii..I'd check it out anyway. There's also flying standby..You can show up at the airport and if someone has missed or cancelled in the last minute, you could get your hands on a cheap seat. But the problem is that you have no control over the timing.

On another note. I highly recommend not killing yourself. It's never that bad.

Haha, thanks for the advice, my signature is actually advice for other people. Like I said, I've never seriously thought about suicide, I don't see the point.
