Gearing up to say THOSE three words

Hey...just after an opinion.

I've been with my guy for just over 3 months, but have known each other for 4 months. We spend most weekends together and see each other during the week 1-2 times as well. But I love him, and I've decided to tell him. I just don't know how. I've never been the first to say it, its always me who has reciprocated in the past.

So how do I say it? Should I plan a nice meal at home? Or if we go out, tell him on the walk home (he lives by a river in the city...absolutely stunning outlook). Or perhaps if we have wine on the balcony? Or just be totally spontaneous? I'd like it to mean as much to him as it does to me in saying it. It nearly slipped out last night - the only reason I didn't say it was because our kids were around us.

What do guys generally prefer? I'm stuck :/

If you are planning when to use those 3 words then you're thinking about it way too hard. It should be spontaneous.

Say it at the moment when you are really feeling it. To me it should be one of those things that 'just slips out', it seems more natural that way and not rehearsed. Good luck
