Is he just doing his job?

I guess I'll start with a cliche. There is this guy. He is a receptionist at the physical therapy office I go to, and yes, he's cute. He is super friendly. Whenever I see him he flashes this huge smile and asks how I've been. We joke often and I get the vibe that he's a naturally flirtatious guy. The problem is I can't get any information out of him. I don't know his last name, he was hesitant to tell me where he's from and where he went to school, and he always seems to turn conversation around, and ask about me. The other day I brought my friend with me, and I assumed he would be just as friendly to her. When we left my friend told me that during their conversation she caught him checking me out multiple times. So here's my question. Does he like me? I've never been the type guys drool over, at least not when I'm wearing workout clothes. Granted I am 20, and most of the patients there are older than 40, but how do I know if he likes me or if he is just being friendly at work.

The fact that he deflects questions about himself, gives no information and turns the conversation to you, tells me that he's just flirtatious and doesn't want to pursue anything.
