    shaving downstairs for men... tips?

Ok so I know some men shave their whole bodies some shave chest and many shave their balls and crotch. I never had before but when I went to visit my wife before I deployed (long distance relationship) I shaved there for the first time, she liked it but my skin had a very bad reaction and I had several small red bumps from irritation and I have had that on my chest before. Is there any way to really control other than continuing to do it and let my body get used to it? I've tried anti bump lotions, and anything I can find on it.

    Don't shave.

    Wax.

Better yet, leave it alone :-/

I know it's a generational thing, but frankly I like unshaved better on women. I like women, not little girls.

An ex of mine shaved me once - I did NOT like it, and never did it again.

I like all mine to be taken off. It just feels nicer and clean..lol

But with men, i reallly hate when a man takes everything off. The first time i saw a man who was completely shaved it actually freaked me out, a lot. lol
Just leave it, or if you feel the need, trim. It looks nicer that way

If your wife enjoys it and you want to do it for her...
Waxing really is the best option. Painful, but it stays away longer, becomes smoother and when it grows back the hairs will feel soft.

But, if you only shave, make sure you have a good razorblade and use enough shaving cream. There's shaving cream for sensitive skin, so you might want to try that.

Ha, I never thought I'd be commenting in depth on this but I love the feel of bare skin on bare skin. When I shave down there I shave everything. What I found works best is a shaving [gel] NOT cream. The best one I found is called 'Bumpstopper'. Yeah the name is funny, but it has petroleum and lanolin in it. The lather is really really thick which cuts down on irritation. I actually shave with the direction of hair growth first, then against it to give that baby's butt soft finish. If your hair is long shave it down to around 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch first with a trimmer. Afterwards wearing boxers (for better air circulation) and/or using powder will keep moisture (and therefore irritation) to a minimum.
...one can be sure of nothing until it has already happened...
