Battlestar Galactica (Remake)

Did anyone else watch this?

Along with Lost, BSG is definitely one of my favourite shows ever.

At first l avoided it as the original BSG was kinda corny.

However, the remake is anything but. It's sci-fi, but it isn't ...

Think l might start rewatching it tonight. It's frakkin' awesome.

Watched the whole series. Parts of it were very good, some things I didn't like. All in all it was a good re-boot of BSG.

Try to remember that the original BSG was a low-budget TV show in the 70's.

Stargate was the best by all standards:

Yeah, there were things that worked really well, and others not so well. The way some things developed and concluded disappointed a little, but overall it was good.

I thought the whole Dr Gaius story/character was one of the best things about it.

I couldn't compare it with Lost though. They're too different. I think some people gave up up on it too soon, but for those who stuck with it ... it was worth it.

I'm fairly sure Lost is irreplaceable.

Stargate Atlantis >> Stargate. They don't do this^. If they could have put O'neill and McKay (extremely arrogant, hilarious Canadian scientist) together the show would have been perfect.

I miss battlestar terribly. Along with The Sopranos and The Wire it was one of the truly epic shows of the 00 decade.

Stargate was good entertainment though.

I'm re-watching the Sopranos at the moment, up to season 4. It's still good the 2nd time around.

My new favourite at the moment is "Horrible Histories". It's awesome!

It's a damn shame that they screwed it up with the movie (for me) then... I liked the concept of the Stargate, just didn't like the execution of the plot, and never bothered to watch any of the spinoff TV shows. Not much of one for TV these days either, there's literally nothing on that interests me anymore that I can't get online.

We don't watch television. SG Atlantis can be gotten from itunes, S3/4 are the best episodes, IMO. Same for BSG until they stopped offering it online. We had to buy DVD of the final season.
