    Not sure what to think

I am recently married to a wonderful man. I married him because I believed he is someone I can really trust, count on and believe in. He keeps in touch with many old high school friends, including a few old girlfriends on facebook. I never thought much about it until recently. Four days after our wedding he posted something about getting a lot of "pokes", at the end of the post he included an acronym that I recently figured out means "I still love you (old girlfriends initials). I then looked at his private Facebook messages, yes I snooped, but I had to know if there was more. There were several messages between him and the old girlfriend. Some from her claiming to love him more than anyone ever will or could. Another from him telling her" happy anniversary I guess" (she is married). "It would be easier if you weren't so happy" Several of his messages ended with IWALYTM I believe that means I will always love you the most, and ISLYM, I still love you more. I feel hurt and betrayed and I'm not sure what to do. What could he possibly say to make this OK?

Marriages always start out well, with high emotions, and a positive outlook, and people on their best behavior. Then the honeymoon stops. And the real person emerges.

What could he possibly say to make this OK?
There is nothing he could say. What he did was stupid. Now you need to decide if you want to talk to him about this, and do you want to stay married? He is emotionally cheating on you and cheapening your relationship.

If he wants polyamory, he should have talked to you about it by the 2nd date.
