An affair introduces a level of dishonesty into both relationships that didn't previously exist. The person you're cheating on, and the person you're cheating WITH. That can be overcome, but your best course of action - if this person is truly a lost love regained is to end your current relationship before beginning a new one.
How would you feel if you found out your husband had been having an affair? How bad would that be?
