Why would this girl suddenly do this

So we were super close at one point. Lots of affection, making out, sleeping in the same bed all frequently. Because of starting college things are to hectic for a relationship just yet, we both agreed. We then decided to take everything back to doing friends things while we are friends to ease the pain. My parents think there is something wrong between us and I tell her this.

Well we all went out for supper and she gave me an affectionate hug, was was being a bit touchy and flirty, just with things I like about her. This hasn't happened since we agreed to slow down.

Is she doing it to show my family there are no problems?
