What makes a good one? I am applying for Masters program in Public Administration and Public Policy. Give me some tips please!!

One that shows you really don't need their program in the first place. Demonstrated experience, good publications, etc. No offense, but I've never met a good administrator who actually went to school for it. The best ones come from backgrounds in engineering, science or math, IMO. I think its b/c those critica; thinking skills are more hard-wired in those folks. Administrivia comes relatively easy (if distastefully) to the mindset.

I want to work in the government and I know that I need at least a masters programs to be competitive.
