Satanism and Rumors About "Satan"

Hey.. I just thought I'd bring this up to see what other people think. Now, I've read through Christian books and whatnot to define "Satan." So far, what I've come up with is this:


Satan is the keeper of Hell. If you do wrong, then you will go to Hell to suffer eternal torture.

Now, in my opinion, this is bullshit. This, in the terms of Christianity and what they say, is pretty much an oxymoron.

Not to critique Christians in any way, but this is what I know. Christians believe:

-God is almighty.
-God forgives you.
-God is good, not evil by any means.

Now, explain to me how is it that a "God" who is all-loving and all-good can condemn you to a place where you will be tortured for the rest of eternity?! This makes no sense whatsoever to me.

Now, another thing that absolutely SICKENS me, are pages like this:

Now, this group of Christians are going to say that ALL religions that do not think like they do are completely false. They even say catholics who are Christian as well have false beliefs!! And, therefore, will go to Hell.


Let me give you some history lessons boys:

This is how the "Devil" and His story was created:

When the Spaniards came to North America where they found Native Americans, their MAIN missions were to:
-Take over the land
-Convert the people to their religion
Those of you who actually paid attention in your history class (hopefully nobody) a long time ago knew that the Native Americans were strictly AGAINST Roman Catholicism. So, what did the Spaniards do? The Roman Catholic Empire/Church decided to create a new theory and myth, thus creating Lucifer.

Lucifer, the archangel, defied God, blah blah ****ing blah, gets cast down into Hell to guard those who supposedly ****ed their mother one-too-many times. Or "sinned."

"If you do bad and do NOT follow our religion, you will go to HELL!" which was what the Native Americans were told.

This, naturally, scared the living shit out of them. They decided to reconcider, which led to conversion of religion (to Roman Catholicism, obviously).

Now, we know how the story of "Satan" was created, but maybe we should look at it from another point of view.

Perspective is everything, and will ALWAYS change the way you look at things.

This truly discusses the philosophies of Satanism. Concider:
-Satanists do NOT believe in a "Devil"
-Satanists do NOT believe in a "God"
-The story of "The Devil" was created by PEOPLE for disciplinary matters
-Christians have an oxymoron about "Hell" in their religious statements

Now, can you answer.. does the "Devil" really exist?

And yes, most of my beliefs belong to Satanism.

Hell, can't argue with that logic! I think I'll convert to the religion endorsed by that website... whatever that is.

Sk8, you cannot argue nonexistence of "God" or the "Devil" any more than you can argue that they do exist. Simply because they are in those contexts, undefined abstractions. Check out zen buddhism (the religion of no religion), it's a lot like the "satanist" doctrines you describe, only a bit more, um, playful.

An energy that manipulates reality to your favor as you instruct it to.

People should focus more on this lifetime, the one we know exists and experience rather than the one that may or may not exist after we die.

People act as if they actually need to be rewarded for being kind, (heaven, eternal life etc.).
