    An 'Open Letter' to Husbands

My take on the perfect relationship: what women need, and what we as men are obligated to provide.

Thanks for reading and as always, appreciate your feedback.

I think you've got a lot of presumption, and you're a sexist pig.

Lets ban this idiot already? This is not the first thread this person has made on this. Exactly the same trolling link.

I said before the article was shallow and poorly written. Still true.

"The heart of a woman longs to be thought of, adored, and noticed. Not because you're obligated to do so because a date on the calendar demands it, but rather just because you love her."
I thought women hated to be put on pedestals? So, what's the difference between putting a woman on a pedestal, and the above statement? Oh, and men like to be complimented too.

make sure every consideration is given to make her life easier and more comfortable. I would not get in bed at night, or get up off the couch, without first checking to see if I can bring her anything: Would you like a glass of water? Can I make you some tea? Do you need a Q-tip? Whatever. You worked hard today, at your career and as a mommy, so just lie there and I will take care of you.
Yeah, men would like this too. But do we get it from our girlfriends? Nope.

This article just seems a bit one-sided, like men have to do all the work and get nothing in return. I'm just stopping here.

It is one-sided. Or at least makes the assumption that women already do things like this for their partners. I certainly ask if I can get my family anything if I'm getting up. My son is trained in being considerate also. Its all in the upbringing.

Exactly. I always ask... and so does my wife.

I've thankfully trained her that it's ok to ask me to do things for her. Her ex was an asshole about it, and she used to always be very apologetic about asking me to do anything, even if she was under a time-constraint and I could make her life easier. I suppose that enough times of my getting up, making coffee, making breakfast and packing a lunch for her when she had an early class has had it's effect.

I don't think it was such a right, at least I am not like that.
