Dp I get my ex fiancé a birthday Present?

His birthday is may 22nd and he will be 32. I am still very close with his family and we are friends. He claims he doesn't want this to be a "forever thing" - in which I've stated I am taking this one day at a time. We have been broken up for almost a week now..



And if I do, what should I get him? Obviously something simple as I don't want it to seem like I am desperate for him back.. I was thinking about being funny and getting him a gift card to a bakini barista coffee shop here locally, as this was an argument we had while together and I asked him to quit going. Maybe my sense of humor sucks but I think that'd be funny, haha. All input is appreciated

That WOULD be kind of funny, but I don't think you should do it. If you are REALLY broken up, presents are inappropriate.
