what should i do now?

i was with my ex boyfriend for almost 3 years. For a year, we lived together with one of his friends. Towards the end of that year, things started to get rocky for our relationship and i decided to move out and get my own place. For over 6 months now, we have been very slowly and painfully breaking up, but we have both had some time to get over it already i guess.
Well we just completely broke up about two weeks ago, he is already dating another girl. At first i was upset, but i am fine with this now.

Now on to the situation that i really need help with....
The other night, i went over to the mutual friend's house and hung out. The one that we both used to live with and both work with.
I went over there to just hang out, and had no intention of anything. But as the evening went on, he came on to me...and i was really surprised.
We ended up kind of laying on the couch together, and he started playing footsie with me! After we ate, he immediately went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth (which i took as, he plans on kissing). Since this situation was kind of crazy for both of us, i asked him if he was scared. He said of what. I said of this, and gestured to me and him. He said no.
I finally just went for it and kissed him, he kind of kissed back for a second and then sort of freaked and was like i can't do this. I was like why? Is it because of the ex, and him being your friend? he said yes, and looked me straight in the face and said believe me it's NOT because i don't want to!
I left after that, and am not really sure what to do now, it's all ive thought about for the past couple of days, i text him, but he's not really saying anything to me. He told me that this would not be weird for him and it wouldn't ruin our friendship. But i really want to know if I should go for it and try to hang out again soon?

yeah go for it. this fella sounds a little faggy for refusing when you put it on a plate, but its your life. maybe hes afraid your ex will crack his jaw if he finds out. you didnt say who you think would win in a fight. This information would help.

HMM i'm not really sure who would win, but i really don't think it would come to that, i think they would just not be friends anymore

oh, are you not sure because they are both equally strong or because they are both equally faggy? again, important info. in fact, reading that you say they probably just wont be friends anymore it sounds like they are both equally faggy, so in this instance, tell him if your ex touches him , youll get your brother to protect him. this reasurance will probably get you your hole. hope this helps
