Good time to bring up meeting when on a dating site?

Hey all! Would like some help here. I have talked to a couple of girls on dating sites. I'm confused on when I should bring up the topic of meeting. I know some girls like to meet right away, but some like to wait so they feel more comfortable. I know I have messed up a couple of times by asking to early and it kind of turned them off from meeting. So when is a good time to ask to meet? Is it better to ask them for their number first, then talk and bring it up.

I think you should explain what YOU like to do, and go from there. Personally, I see the advantage of meeting fairly early (less time wasted if there isn't any interest), but I don't think I'd want to give a stranger my personal phone number, in case I ended up not wanting to hear from them again. You should probably wait to ask a girl out until you have some real conversation going though.
