advice needed please! :)

Hey all,

I have been friends with this guy for 11 years. We were best friends up until 2008, when we virtually stopped talking (went from talking every day and being together every day to only talking every once in a while. maybe four or five times a year). We stopped talking because he didn't approve of the guy I was dating. Me and this guy just recently broke up about 2 months ago.

All through high school me and my "best friend", his name is Errick, would hook up. We never had a relationship because we were always with other people. We would hang out on a daily basis but it was never the right time for us to be together. We started talking more that we have been the past couple years in January when we started texting/calling each other a few times a week. When I broke up with my boyfriend in may, he started calling me a lot more. He was there for me the night I broke up with my boyfriend and tried to get me to stay with him, and I wouldn't. We were partying at his house, and being upset I couldn't stay and be around people that I didn't really know being that emotional. The end of june, he called me wanting me to come and see him a few miles from my house but I had just had surgery and couldn't meet up with him. He called me again about 2 weeks ago and wanted to hang out but I was working. We've been talking on the phone and texting a lot, and we had plans last weekend, they fell through.

He's acted like he wants to try something between us but now given the opportunity to do so, he just seems so wishy-washy. He called me earlier today and asked what I would be doing tonight. I told him probably just staying home, and in return asked him what his plans were. He said that he was probably going to hang out with this girl, that he MAY be talking to. He said it as if he was trying to make me jealous, and he knows me. So he knows that it wouldn't really do that, but he tried anyway. I am so confused and don't really know what to do. Any advice is welcomed and I really hope I can get some of your all's input to help me in my situation.

Should I not text him, or call him to hang out and just see where it takes the situation? Or continue to call/text him back and continue to show interest?!?!?!

He's playing games and wants to **** you. If he was really interested, he would contact you in advance to meet, not the day of. Tread carefully.
